Im still waiting for cleaned up photos from Mark this afternoon before I can give a firm opinion of what the bird is. So hold on until further info unless you are there already.
Mark saw it for a few seconds at entrance to Fish Docks by residence but it flew into vegetation and he couldnt relocate it. Photos are only from the front, so face, underparts and tail is all that is visible.
A few of us have looked at the photos, but itcould be a really bad photo of a pewee at a bad angle that is distorting our perception. He saw a few pewees there, but he didnt think it was a pewee at the time which is why he photographed it.

FYI, all ofPt. Reyes will likely be closed to the public tomorrow, due to the predicted heavy rains. The one-lane section of Sir Francis Drake was already badly flooded and pot-holed yesterday, so I highly doubt that the Park Service will allow visitors to cross it in even worse conditions tomorrow...

Mark Sawyer just sent me back of camera photos of a bird that looks like an Asian Brown Flycatcher. He was at the Fish Docks on outer Pt. Reyes for three hours this morning and only saw it for five seconds. Photos are of head and underparts/tail. He wrote that it was small and brown with no real wingbars and had a small bill. It just looked weird.. Hopefully he can send me better photos when he returns home, but I wanted to get the word out now.
