Amazing what little traffic there is when you leave home at 0330 hrs. The Eastern Meadowlark was one of the first birds heard as I got out of my car at 0745. The location is exactly as previous posts. The conditions were perfect, clear skies with no wind and temps in the 50s. I saw it perched atop a few fence posts and trees near the dilapidated barn. It sang about every 15 minutes or so until about 0900, when the singing tailed off. Purple Martins put on a nice show during the meadowlark lulls. Fantastic bird, thanks Logan and Calvin! Cheers, Keith Kwan Sacramento
