Birders, As of when I I left the site today (Mon) at noon no one had seen the Stellerís Eider. Jeff Allen was already there when I arrived at 9 am, and remarked that there were very few scoters relative to past days. I personally only had 10 minutes of scoping before the fog rolled in. Like the rest of our crew, waiting in the fog for 3 hrs for it to clear was as much time as I had to put into the vigil, especially as it seemed reluctant to clear prior to tonightís storm. P.S. I agree with with Kimball and others that reports of MEGAS and lesser-noteworthy birds should be posted to Calbirds, NWcalbird, etc (not simply what is collated as a local ebird rarities summary or local Facebook Messenger). I personally didnít find about the eider until Sunday. This is an ongoing situation, apparently without an easy answer. Also, I concur with Alan Baron re: nwcalbird: my post from yesterday is still in cyber-limbo. Tom Leskiw Blue Lakeish
